SWEAT EQUITY HOG HUNT

Hunting with Soldiers is hosting 5 Combat Veterans for a sweat equity hog hunt and the possibility of fishing out of Columbus, TX. The Sweat Equity Hunt consists of the Veterans hunting in the mornings and evenings and some at night, and during the day, they help the landowner with things that need done such as clearing brush, cutting trees, filling feeders, etc. We have found that these trips are very successful in that the Veterans are given a task, they work as a team to complete these tasks, and they see the end results. They also get some good meat to take home from their harvest. Arrival is Friday, January 26 and departure is Sunday January 28. Meals and housing are supplied. Veteran only needs to bring a couple or more ice chests for the meat, weapon, knives for cleaning their kill, towel & washrag, bedding, fishing gear, lawn chair, work gloves & ear protection. You must have and show proof of a valid Texas Hunting License. Veteran must be able to lift and walk with no restrictions to qualify for this trip. You must be a Combat Veteran as well. This trip does not count against you for any other hunting and fishing adventures with Hunting with Soldiers. This is one way we give back to the landowners.

If you have been on a hunting trip with Hunting with Soldiers, you also still qualify for this trip. Person chosen must send copy of DD214, or if still Active Duty a form showing your service in an active combat zone to huntingwithsoldiers@live.com (If you have been on a previous trip with us and have sent this before that trip, it is not necessary to do it again). Any information found to be inaccurate or incomplete will result in the removal of the application and removal from HwS activities. No illegal substances allowed. If you can not do without it, don't put in for this trip.
