Hunting with Soldiers is hosting 2 Children of Combat Veterans for a whitetail doe, & hog hunt out of Cache, OK. Arrival is Friday Dec. 19 after 1500 hrs. Departure is Sunday Dec. 21 before 1600 hrs.  Meals and housing are supplied. Veterans only need to bring ice chests for the meat, and a weapon for the child (We do have some weapons to use if the child does not have one). The Child must have a valid Oklahoma Hunting license. If the Child is not an Oklahoma Resident, the Youth, Non Resident, 5 Day License is $76 (Your Cost). This is sufficient for deer for youth. We will have an adult Oklahoma Licensed Hunter sitting in the stand as well, so if you are not an Oklahoma Resident, you will not have to have a license. It is recommended that the child have completed the Hunters Education Course (it is available at many places as well as online.). Child MUST BE 16 years of age or "younger" at time of hunt and able to safely handle and shoot a firearm. Adult WILL NOT Shoot the animal for the child. This is for the Combat Veteran and one child each ONLY. You can not bring an extra person. Space does not allow.

The Child can not have hunted with Hunting with Soldiers before to qualify and have not been out with any other Organization as well. Parent of the Child chosen must send copy of DD214, or if still Active Duty, the form to show proof of being in Combat to huntingwithsoldiers@live.com (If the parent has hunted with us before, and has sent their information to us, the DD214 or other form if still active are not required). This must be your child or your step child living with you. NOT a friends child. This DOES NOT count towards any future hunts or fishing trips for the Combat Veteran. If you have hunted with us before, you still qualify to bring your child on a Child of Combat Veteran hunt. Remember, this is a hunt for the CHILD. Do not come planning on shooting for the child. If the Owners advise you can shoot an animal while there, all children must have gotten theirs first before you can hunt & if you do, make sure you have an Oklahoma Hunting license. The Non Resident Adult 5 day hunting license does not cover big game. You would have to have the regular Non Resident license, which is $209. There is no guarantee you will be able to hunt. This is a trip to get you into the outdoors and to bond with your child. Absolutely NO illegal substances will be allowed in or around the location. If you can not do without it, do not apply. You are responsible for transportation to and from the location of this event.
