Hunting with Soldiers is hosting 2 Combat Veterans for a sweat equity axis doe hunt out of Bandera, TX. The Sweat Equity Hunt consists of the Veterans hunting in the mornings and evening, and during the day, on this hunt, the Veterans will be helping remove debris from an old barn that fell due to straight line winds. This will consist of lifting, possible chainsaw work, etc. So the Veterans must be physically able to do manual labor. They also get some good meat to take home from their harvest. Arrival is Friday, July 12 and departure is Sunday July 14. Meals and housing are supplied. Veteran only needs to bring a couple or more ice chests for the meat, weapon, knives for cleaning their kill, towel & washrag, bedding, lawn chair, work gloves & ear protection. You must have and show proof of a valid Texas Hunting License. Veteran must be able to lift and walk with no restrictions to qualify for this trip. You must be a Combat Veteran as well. This trip does not count against you for any other hunting and fishing adventures with Hunting with Soldiers. This is one way we give back to the landowners.

If you have been on a hunting trip with Hunting with Soldiers, you also still qualify for this trip. Person chosen must send copy of DD214, or if still Active Duty a form showing your service in an active combat zone to huntingwithsoldiers@live.com (If you have been on a previous trip with us and have sent this before that trip, it is not necessary to do it again). Any information found to be inaccurate or incomplete will result in the removal of the application and removal from HwS activities. No illegal substances allowed. If you can not do without it, don't put in for this trip.
