HUNTING WITH SOLDIERS

YOUTH DEER HUNT

MULLIN, TX

Hunting with Soldiers is hosting 1 Child of Combat Veteran & the Combat Veteran for a whitetail deer hunt out of Mullin, TX. Arrival is Friday November 14. Departure is Sunday November 16. The Combat Veteran & child have the choice of either camping in a tent, or camper with a generator on site or they can stay in a hotel in Brownwood (At Hunting with Soldiers Expense). In the beginning of the application, in the section states NOTES, please put if you would be tent or camper camping or if you need a hotel. Failure to do this will result in your application being deleted. Meals are not supplied on this trip. Veteran needs to bring ice chests for the meat, knives for cleaning the deer, food if you do not want to go to a restaurant, and a weapon for them and the child. You and the Child must have and show proof of a valid Texas Hunting License (Child can not hunt using your license, they must have their own) & It is recommended that the child have completed the Hunters Education Course (it is available at many places as well as online.). Child MUST BE 16 years of age or "younger" at time of hunt and able to safely handle and shoot a firearm. Adult WILL NOT Shoot the animal for the child. This is for the Combat Veteran and one child ONLY. You can not bring an extra person. This is also a hunt for both the Child and the Combat Veteran, so both can harvest deer. 

If you are interested in this event and you qualify as a "Combat Veteran" (A MUST), please complete this application: https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/9Mzt1LmJ2asqxb3  In the section that states "Give the information of what Hunting/Fishing Trip are you applying for" put Mullin Hunt. The Child can not have hunted with Hunting with Soldiers before to qualify and have not been out with any other Organization as well. Parent of the Child chosen must send copy of DD214, or if still Active Duty, the form to show proof of being in Combat to huntingwithsoldiers@live.com (If the parent has hunted with us before, and has sent their information to us, the DD214 or other form if still active are not required). This must be your child or your step child living with you. NOT a friends child. This DOES NOT count towards any future hunts or fishing trips for the Combat Veteran. If you have hunted with us before, you still qualify to bring your child on a Child of Combat Veteran hunt. Remember, this is a hunt for both you and the child, but you will both be in the same stand. This is a trip to get you into the outdoors and to bond with your child. Absolutely NO illegal substances will be allowed in or around the location. If you can not do without it, do not apply. You are responsible for transportation to and from the location of this event.
