Hunting with Soldiers is hosting 4 Combat Veterans and their spouse, boyfriend, or girlfriend (No buddies or children) for our annual Port Aransas couples fishing trip. Arrival is Friday, May 02 and departure is Sunday May 04. Only the Friday evening and Saturday evening Meals are provided. Please note that only meals and non alcoholic drinks are provided. Appetizers and alcoholic drinks are up to the Veteran at their own expense. Housing is also provided (It is up to you to get to and from the location). Veteran only needs to bring a couple or more ice chests for their fish, knives for cleaning their fish (This is only needed if you are fishing before or after the charter boat. Charter boat captains will clean fish for that trip), & fishing gear if you wish to fish other than just on the boat (fishing gear and bait is supplied on the boat). The fishing will be for redfish and speckled sea trout and will be near land so sea sickness should not be a problem. You must have and show proof of a valid Texas Fishing License with the Salt Water Endorsement on it. Due to the place we are staying, ABSOLUTELY NO PETS. Once again, this is for Combat Veterans and their Spouse, Boyfriend, or Girlfriend ONLY. If you are chosen and your spouse, boyfriend, or girlfriend has to cancel for any reason, this will also forfeit your spot and a couple from the reserve list will be chosen. 

 

If you are interested in this event and you qualify as a Combat Veteran, please complete this application: https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/emf/huntingwithsoldiers/portaransas You can not have fished with Hunting with Soldiers before, or hunted or fished with more than 2 other Organizations, or multiple times with the same Organization to qualify (This trip will be posted by or before 1630 hrs on 04/06/2024. If we have not filled it within 24 hours of posting, then it will be opened up to those who have fished with us prior.) If you are chosen, and you are on the Reserve List for another trip, please advise after you are chosen. Person chosen must send copy of DD214, or if still Active Duty, the form showing you have been to combat to huntingwithsoldiers@live.com (if you have been on a previous hunting trip with us and you had already sent this information, please disregard). Any information found to be inaccurate or incomplete will result in the removal of the application and removal from HwS activities. No illegal substances will be allowed on or around the property. If you can not do without it, then do not apply.
