HUNTING WITH SOLDIERS
HELICOPTER HOG HUNT
MARCH 18-20, 2022
UPDATE: Trip is filled. No more applications accepted.
Hunting with Soldiers is hosting 2 Combat Veterans for a helicopter hog hunt out of Paducah, TX. Arrival is Friday March 18 and departure is Sunday March 20th. Meals and housing are supplied. Veterans only need to bring ice chests for the meat, bedding, towel & washrag, and a weapon (Shotgun and double OO Buck for helicopter. So you need as much OO Buckshot as you can bring). Each Veteran will go up in the helicopter for one hour each and will shoot as many hogs as possible. Veterans will also be hunting hogs from stands at feeders, so will also need rifles. There is also a possibility for a release quail or pheasant hunt so you will need proper shotgun ammunition for either quail or pheasant. More information on that will become available as the time gets closer. You must have and show proof of a valid Texas Hunting License. Please note that the helicopter part of the hunt will all depend on the weather. If inclement weather or too high of winds, the helicopter hunt will not happen but the ground hunting will. You are not required to have a plug in your shotgun while hunting hogs. You can also use a drum. When bird hunting, you must have a plug in your shotgun.
